What type of family would benefit from wilderness family camp?
Families with a child transitioning from therapeutic treatment often struggle with the dynamics of the parent/child relationship. If you want to reconnect with your child, Family Camps offers a unique and supportive environment in which to build a foundation for the future.
Family Camp offers a great opportunity for families to have a few days with their child away from the pressures of daily life. Therapists get to see how your child interacts within the family, and they can make recommendations that can be followed through at home or in the next placement, such as a boarding school.

On Warrior’s Ridge, high up on a hill, stand the teepees of the Family Camp community. Participants learn to operate as a family system while also operating within a community of other families.
At Aspen Family Camp, we learn from each other through open and honest communication. Many of us have lost the sense of community – there are so many distractions that separate us from others and leave us feeling isolated. Aspen Family Camp is, in essence, a bridge back to the community. It is empowering to find out other parents are struggling with the same issues with their children, and we have created a safe environment in which you can learn from each other.
